The Department for Employment and Learning (DEL) held a series of four information events for Essential Skills tutors and managers on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th September 2009. The events were held in Dungannon, Lisburn, Antrim and Belfast. The following information was disseminated:
• Details of changes to Operational Guidelines
• Feedback from DEL’s recent tutor Survey
• Information on the CCEA Regulatory Authority Review of Assessment Models of Essential Skills Qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy
• Details of the tutor education policies and memos
• Feedback from DEL’s Quality and Performance Branch
• Information on the importance of Management Information Systems
This information is likely to be very important to all Essential Skills tutors.
